Community & Events Manager (PT, Freelance)

Badassery is a platform for event organizers to book diverse speakers. We’re on a mission to amplify underheard voices, and are looking to hire an awesome Community & Events Manager to lead our community of speakers and create the best experience possible for them. You'll join a super passionate, mission-driven founder and team, and be given the chance to share important stories all over the globe. What You’ll Do: -Community Strategy: Lead strategy to grow & engage a meaningful community. Identify the platforms and content needed to create an engaged member base that will help us grow as a brand, and amplify underheard voices. -Member Management: Develop, nurture and productize our digital community of public speakers to create a digital hub for our members to connect and learn from each other (includes moderating our members-only Slack channel). -Events: Create our event strategy/process and execute on creative and meaningful digital experiences (at least 2 events/month) to engage our members. -Content: Develop and implement community-focused content strategy (i.e. newsletters). -Data: Measure success by tracking metrics and creating reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly). About You: -Experience: You have 2-4 years of community management experience, ideally with startups.. -Passion: You live and breathe community, and are obsessed with understanding our members and identifying the most innovative and meaningful (and badass) ways to bring them together. You’d ideally be familiar with the public speaking space, or are hungry to learn about it. -Mission-Driven: You’re passionate about amplifying diverse voices across industries. -Data-Driven: You’re able to make informed decisions based on both qualitative and quantitative information. And also know when to look at the data, throw it in the trash and trust your gut.
