Information

The Pandemic was like a sling-shot for the Community model and the Community Profession. It's not an exaggeration to say that Community kept the world together during the pandemic, and the amazing power of the model is being employed by associations, media and event companies, corporations, brands, and non-profits around the world. It's also being used to help create more ownership and productivity in organizations by more decentralized and transparent approaches to management. Another example is how HR departments are showing the effectiveness of corporate communities to defend against the great resignation. Finally, in the Spring of 2021 TechCrunch came out with a headline that: The Chief Community Officer is the New CMO -- so even marketing is evolving to leverage the power of Community. There's no doubt Community is more than a fad -- it's a profession and an industry with millions of professionals working in and on communities. We will discuss the 2022 trends and predictions in Community and surface examples and best practices from participants in the field.
